John Marks, author of The
Wall and War Torn, is a producer at CBS for 60 Minutes
and a former reporter for US News & World Report, for which he
was also Berlin bureau chief. He has written for The New York Times
and The Wall Street Journal, among other publications, and holds
an MFA from the Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa. Marks lives
with his wife, the writer Debra Immergut, his son, Joe, and his dog Ruby
in Brooklyn, New York. His first novel, The
Wall, was a New York Times Notable Book.
He writes a regular book column for www.centropa.org.
